How to Choose your Central Coast Wedding Venue
Here are a few tips to help you choose the perfect wedding venue that is right for you.
Have a rough idea of when you want to get married.
Here is something that can blow peoples minds…. you actually have to book your wedding venue before you choose your exact wedding date. Why? Because good wedding venues book out a long time in advance.
So have a rough idea of the season and the months that you would like to get married. Insider tip… Spring and Autumn are peak times for weddings on the Central Coast of NSW. It is normal for good wedding venues to be booked out one to two years in advance.
Style of wedding venue
Have an idea of the style of wedding that you want. This will help narrow down your choices to the venues that match your style and vision. The Central Coast is a huge area, and there is a lot of variety and choice for couples that want an awesome and unique wedding.
Work out the style of wedding you want and find venues that match that style.
- Beach weddings
- Country weddings
- Modern elegant weddings
- Rustic weddings
- Garden weddings
- Vineyard weddings
Wedding Guest List.
Before you start visiting venues that you like to look of, you need to have a rough idea of how many guests you want at your wedding to make sure the venue can accommodate them. Some central coast wedding venues will have minimum numbers that you have to meet to book in a wedding. And naturally, wedding venues can only fit so many people.
So before you do any site visits, work out the approximate number of guests that you will have and find out the venues minimum and maximum numbers.
Have a rough idea of your wedding budget and also the budget you want to spend on a central coast wedding venue. This is really important because the venue, will all the food and alcohol will be your biggest expense. And if you don’t have a realistic budget, then it is very easy for things to blow out.
To give you an idea of price, the average cost of a wedding in Australia is around in 2012 is $36,000. With the venue, food and alcohol being around $18,600. So you can imagine that today, that cost is much greater.
Try to find out what is included in the price and what is not. Some venues that appear to be ‘expensive’ may include more things, while ‘cheaper’ venues may add on more things. So try to have an idea of how much you want to spend and also how much you want to spend per person.
Do some online research.
If you have narrowed down your list of potential wedding venues, do some research online through google and try to see some recent weddings from there. This will give you some inspiration and also help you decide on your perfect venue.
Wedding Venue Site Visit
If you have done the steps above first, then you should have a small list of potential wedding venues that you like. Now it’s time to actually visit the venues and see which ones really work for you.
Our biggest tip here is to take lots of video and photos of each venue. It’s easy to forget things and mix things up when looking a bunch of different places. I particularly like video because you can do a good walk-through of the venue and really see a 360–degree view of each area. Then you can look back and easily pause to view.
Choosing from the amazing Central Coast wedding venues is a major and a pretty tough decision. It is the first big decision for your wedding and will set up the whole event. So hopefully these tips will help you find an awesome venue where you can have an amazing party.
